Mónica Armiño graduated with a degree in Fine Arts with extensive knowledge in both digital and traditional techniques. She is able to draw in many different styles and loves to experiment. She’s always been interested in focusing her career in children’s illustration and cartoons. She lives in Madrid, Spain.

Author, illustrator, and designer Mandy Stanley originally trained for a career in the fashion industry designing baby wear before discovering her passion for writing and illustrating children's books. Moving into book illustration, Mandy has created many original stories including the tiger tales titles Bella, The Birthday Party and Bella, The Fairy Ball.

Veronica Vasylenko lives in England. She studied Graphic Design at Bradford and Liverpool Polytechnic which led her into the world of greetings card design and then book illustration. What Veronica enjoys most about illustrating picture books is inventing characters and bringing them to life through her illustrations. 

Lucy Barnard was born in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. She received her degree in Illustration in Exeter, United Kingdom. She has been working as a freelance illustrator for 10 years, first doing greeting cards and then eventually children's books. She lives in Manchester with her husband and two children.

David Melling is the creator of the tiger tales book Hugless Douglas. David says, "I have done other jobs over the years, teaching English in Italy, cutting grass in a cemetery, even wrapping up toilet paper rolls for a week (don't ask), but making up stories with pen and paper is bay far the best."

Kaori Watanabe is an artist and art director who most enjoys creating items for babies and children. Trained at Hunter College in New York, she has studied everything from painting to silk screening. She finds daily inspiration from her little son, Hiyu. Kaori likes childlike, whimsical styles that are even a bit "messy," but capture the essense of child's fun.

Sanja Rešček lives in Zagreb where she studied graphic design and painting at Academy of Fine Arts. While she is not illustrating, she enjoys painting and designing children's furniture.

Claire Keay lives in Rayleigh, Essex, England and works from her home studio. Many of her paintings are held in private collections throughout the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States and Canada. Claire loves children’s book illustrations, the color red, and breakfast in bed with the Sunday papers!

Author of the tiger tales books Boris and the Snoozebox and Boris and the Wrong Shadow, Leigh enjoys writing, doodling, and turning her stories into award-winning picture books and films. Lee lives in London, England.

From a very early age, Rosie Reeve was always drawing things, particularly animals. She loved to read, too, but mostly she loved to draw. Rosie studied Fine Art at the Ruskin School of Drawing, Oxford, University, after which she travelled and drew before having three children of her own.

Following several corporate positions illustrating and designing, Kat Whelan can’t think of anything she’d like to do better than to sit at her little desk in her tiny cottage, get to see her husband, play with her cat, and do lots of drawing! Kat does all of this from her home in Bath, England.

Ayano Imai was born in England in 1980, and later spent some years in Connecticut and California. After resettling to Japan, she studied Japanese painting at Musashino Art University in Tokyo. A frequent participant in the Bologna Book Fair Illustrator's exhibition, The 108th Sheep is her first picture book.

Deborah Allwright is the illustrator of The Best Pet Ever, The Fox in the Dark, and Hello! Is This Grandma? She has loved drawing since childhood. Her grandfather used to visit paper mills for his job, and he'd bring her home long, narrow strips of paper. As a result, Deborah drew lots of giraffes and snakes.

Nicholas Allan studied Fine Art at the Slade and has completed an MA in creative writing at the University of East Anglia. His highly original picture books have won him several awards including the Sheffield Children's Book Award for The Queen's Knickers and the Federation of Children's Books Best Picture Book Award for Demon Teddy. He lives in Lambeth, England, in a converted pub.

John Abbott Nez has illustrated more than 50 books of every conceivable sort. He draws in a whimsical style with the goal of conveying lots of feeling in his pictures... happy, sad, sneaky, mad, hopeful, afraid... and more. You'll see this in the wonderful art he created for The Dancing Clock. John lives in Seattle where he enjoys the natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest.

Before writing and illustrating children's books, she worked in the music industry where she created record and CD covers. Liz  left  to become a freelance writer and artist, and her work now appears on many different products all over the world.
