When she was very small, Hannah Whitty spent hours on end following her cat around the house trying to get him to sit still so she could draw him. Today she is still inspired by animals and children, and loves drawing characters.

Award-winning illustrator Tim Warnes shares a studio at his home in the English countryside with his wife, illustrator Jane Chapman. They have two young sons who are a constant source of inspiration, as well as a major distraction! Tim is the illustrator of the tiger tales books, Scaredy Mouse, Tom's Tail,  and I’ve Seen Santa! 

Gaby Hansen was born in South Africa where she attended the School of Art, Ballet, Drama and Music, then studied Graphic Design and Illustration for five years. She moved to London in 1998 and has more than twenty books published including the tiger tales titles Are You Ready for Bed?, By The Light of The Moon, and Oops-a-Daisy!.

Jacqueline East has been an illustrator of children’s books for more than twenty years. Her illustrations are full of color, light and atmosphere, covering a range of subjects from parent and child, animals, visits to the dentists, ballerinas, and other typical child-oriented subjects. She lives in England.

Rachael O’Neill decided that art was really what she loved, so she studied illustration at Swindon Art School in England where she joined the first year of a pure illustration course they had started. Do You Want a Hug, Honey Bunny? is her first book for tiger tales.

Vanessa Cabban grew up between boarding school in England and wherever her nomadic parents were living: Africa, Spain, Belgium, and the United States. She has illustrated many children’s picture books, including the tiger tales books There’s Trouble, Heaven Is Having You, Love Is a Handful of Honey and Where There’s a Bear.

David Melling has illustrated more the sixty children's books, writing and illustrating more than fifteen of them. His work has been shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal in England. Before becoming a bestselling author-illustrator, David worked as a photographer and as an animation artist. David lives in England with his wife and their two children.

Claire Keay lives in Rayleigh, Essex, England and works from her home studio. Many of her paintings are held in private collections throughout the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States and Canada. Claire loves children’s book illustrations, the color red, and breakfast in bed with the Sunday papers!

Penny Ives lives and works in Bath, England. She shares an untidy house with her tall and still growing teenage son, three cats, and two giant goldfish. Years ago, Penny was a student at Bath Academy of Art and later Brighton Art School. Before that, Penny was a very shy child who wouldn’t say boo to a goose! It was always easier to sit in the sed with the dog and write poems.

Rosalind Beardshaw has loved drawing and painting since childhood, and from an early age, she wanted to become an illustrator. She designed greeting cards and wrapping paper before branching out to picture books. Rosalind lives in England.

John Kanzler has been illustrating children's books for more than 15 years. When not illustrating, John's interests range from astronomy to archaeology to paleontology, natural history and farming. John lives with his wife and daughter on their historic old farm in Greenfield, MA, with several sheep, llamas and cats.

During her childhood in Fairport, New York, Teri was always the kid hunched over her desk with a big mess of crayons. The apex of her artistic career came early, when at nine years, she won both first and third prize in an Easter egg decorating contest judged by her classmates.

Nicholas Allan studied Fine Art at the Slade and has completed an MA in creative writing at the University of East Anglia. His highly original picture books have won him several awards including the Sheffield Children's Book Award for The Queen's Knickers and the Federation of Children's Books Best Picture Book Award for Demon Teddy. He lives in Lambeth, England, in a converted pub.
