Mónica Armiño graduated with a degree in Fine Arts with extensive knowledge in both digital and traditional techniques. She is able to draw in many different styles and loves to experiment. She’s always been interested in focusing her career in children’s illustration and cartoons. She lives in Madrid, Spain.

Ross Collins graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 1994. In the same year, he won the MacMillan Children's Book Prize, an achievement that presented him with many opportunities. Longing for the cold and damp of the North, Ross returned to Glasgow, where he spends his time writing and illustrating children's booksdoing animation character development.

Leigh Hodgkinson is the author-illustrator of the tiger tales picture books Boris and the Snoozebox and Boris and the Wrong Shadow. Like Boris, she enjoys the odd catnap. (Fact.) Ruth Galloway has always wanted to be an artist. Known for her humorous picture books set under the sea, Ruth is the author and illustrator of the tiger tales books Clumsy Crab, Fidgety Fish, Smiley Shark and Tickly Octopus. In her spare time she enjoys making jewelry and mountain biking. She is married with two children, and lives in Oxfordshire, England.

Deborah Allwright is the illustrator of The Best Pet Ever, The Fox in the Dark, and Hello! Is This Grandma? She has loved drawing since childhood. Her grandfather used to visit paper mills for his job, and he'd bring her home long, narrow strips of paper. As a result, Deborah drew lots of giraffes and snakes. She now works from a studio in London. 

David Melling is the creator of the tiger tales book Hugless Douglas. David says, "I have done other jobs over the years, teaching English in Italy, cutting grass in a cemetery, even wrapping up toilet paper rolls for a week (don't ask), but making up stories with pen and paper is bay far the best."

Alex T. Smith is the illustrator of the tiger tales picture books Home, which he also wrote, My Mom Has X-Ray Vision, and Eliot Jones, Midnight Superhero. Of his passion for art, he says, "I can't really remember not having either a pencil or a paintbrush in my hand."

Ben Mantle was born in Leamington Spa, England, and developed a very early interest in all things artistic and festive, even coming in first in his local library’s coloring competition. He joined the crew of Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride and now works as an illustrator and animator from his seaside base in Brighton.

Ella Burfoot was born in Norfolk, England and studied for a BA and MA in Illustration at the Falmouth College of Arts, for which she received a distinction. She is currently living in Cornwall and enjoys walking her dog and camping.

Jan Fearnley started writing and illustrating after working as a teacher in London demonstrated to her the importance of early literacy. She has achieved huge international recognition since her first title was published in 1998. Her lovable books have won her awards, praise, and the hearts of young children throughout the world.

Peter Cottrill illustrates children's books, teaches art and design, and practices shiatsu (though not all at the same time). He also enjoys inventing his own stories, walking, and eating chocolate--especially eating chocolate. He was born and brought up in Liverpool, but he has spent most of his adult life living in London. 

Sophie Keen is the illustrator of several children's books. She lives in England with her husband and dogs in a converted factory. Her dog Monty appears in My Favorite Michael.

Teresa Murfin is the illustrator of many children's books. In her free time, Teresa enjoys visiting flea markets and thrift shops to find ideas and items to use in her artwork. Her inspiration comes from vintage papers and fabrics, European children's books, Scandinavian design, and folk art. Teresa livesl in England.

Sam Hearn says the inspiration for his illustrations comes to him in many ways and at the most unexpected moments. “I have little pictures in my head on standby of things that might come in useful one day—like interesting types of faces, dogs with three legs, spooky looking trees, numbers on buildings and pavements, old knickknacks, and bits of furniture.”

Veronica Vasylenko is the illustrator of many children's books, including Jingle Bells and Panda-monium! for tiger tales. Of her work, she says, "I love inventing characters and bringing them to life through my illustrations." In her spare time, Veronica enjoys bicycling and running. She lives in England.

With a degree in 3D design Kali Stileman taught until her children were born. Roly-Poly Egg is her first picture book. "My children are my greatest inspiration and my fiercest critics," says Kali. Kali and her children live in an old gamekeepers cottage in the middle of a wood in Wiltshire, England.

Kate Leake studied Children’s Illustration at the North Wales School of Art and Design. Her fresh, humorous style and innovative use of the computer has been highly acclaimed and she was runner-up in the 2004 Macmillan Prize for Illustration. Kate lives in Derbyshire.

John Abbott Nez has illustrated more than 50 books of every conceivable sort. He draws in a whimsical style with the goal of conveying lots of feeling in his pictures... happy, sad, sneaky, mad, hopeful, afraid... and more. Liz Pichon is the award-winning author and illustrator of many children's books, including the tiger tales titles The Three Horrid Little Pigs and The Very Ugly Bug. Liz left to become a freelance writer and artist, and her work now appears on many different products all over the world. She lives with her husband and three children in Brighton, England.

Since she was a child, Hannah Wood has never been seen without a pencil and paint splattered all over her. She studied politics in college but always wanted to be a book illustrator. Starting off illustrating greetings cards lead her to her dream of being a children's illustrator. Hannah has  illustrated more than a half dozen books just for tiger tales!
